Farmannshaugen - Royal viking burial in Tønsberg

Visible from road 312 and from "Grevestien". The burial was archaeologically examined in 1917. According to tradition it was erected in memory of King Bjørn Farmann. The Sagas tell us that he was killed by his brother King Eirik Bloodaxe at Sæheimr King's Court in 933 AD.
