Visit Tønsberg

The Steamship "D/S Kysten" is now in Tønsberg for more extensive repair work. The boat has a long and interesting history dating back to 1909, and has been used for sightseeings in the area. You will find more pictures here. (In Norwegian only).

Construction of a full-scale replica of the Oseberg ship is almost complete. The ship is launched and has already had some assignments in the area. Follow the project and see more photos on the New Oseberg Ship Foundation's own website

The Viking Trail is a 60 km long track from Mølen to Borre. Over this distance you will discover large, significant burial mounds, remains of Norway's first town and where the most important finds from the Viking Age were made. Vestfold even has its own Viking ships, both original and replicas.

For stunning scenery you can choose one of our coastal paths. We can recommend a trip with M / F Jutøya to Veierland or the boat to Engelsviken and in order to Bolærne. You can find charming places and kystledhytter for accommodation in beautiful surroundings.

Tønsberg Gjestehavn is a modern facility with most conveniences you could wish for. It is also within walking distance of Tønsberg, and in close proximity to a larger restaurant area.
